The next volume in the Birth of Saints series is available now!
Hey guys! NaNoWriMo is almost here!! Can you even believe it?
I haven’t spent as much time Nanoprepping as I probably should have this year, given I was trying desperately to finish writing the Queen of Thieves before November. Somehow I finished it over a week early (woo!), so that’s giving me some extra time to figure out everything.
For this year’s Nano project, I’ll be writing the sequel to Haven, which is pretty exciting, let me tell yah. SAVAGES is going to be a fun, although very dark YA project, which actually kind of works since QoT was really dark too and I’m already in the mindset for that!
Alright guys, it’s Nanoprep time.
Ready to get serious? Ready to get down and dirty with the nitty gritty details? I hope so!
Nanoprep is all about getting ready to commit yourself to 50k in November, which is by no means a small feat. You have to either write 1600 words a day, or choose your battles and write a LOT more than that to make it. It’s a ton of work, but it is SO worth it. So let’s go over my top 5 tips for your best Nanoprep yet!

Assassins, political intrigue and a romance to make you blush and swoon – usually on the same page.
Grave Mercy was one hell of a ride. From a small town country girl, to the Duchess’s palace, Ismae follows her own path to freedom, away from her oppressors. I love fantasy, particularly historical fiction, preferably with badass ladies. This book has it in spades! Ismael is a strong character, coming out of a terrible childhood, to a forceful (and very brief) marriage, to her calling in life as Saint Mortain’s Daughter, deliverer or both wrath and mercy. The concept for this book blew me away, giving me HIGH hopes! It did NOT disappoint.
Hey guys! Guess what? My first ever Coffee Talk & Book Signing is just weeks away!
If you live in the Saint John, or surrounding area, I encourage you to come out to Indigo East Point October 8th between 2-4pm where I’ll be reading an excerpt from Haven, answering your questions, and of course, signing your books!
Books will be available on site if you don’t already have one. I’ll be handing out FREE Haven bookmarks as well, so if anything, you walk away with free swag!

HOLY CRAP WAS THIS BOOK EVER GOOD!!
The first book in the Witchlands series, TRUTHWITCH, is about two very different girls, a Truthwitch, Safiya – a hot headed fighter with one hell of a mouth – and a Threadwitch, Iseult, a mild mannered young woman with a chip on her shoulder and the strategizing power of an army General. These two woman are the stars of the show, getting into all kinds of mischief while they try to hide Safi’s secret (being a truthwitch).
When these two fighters get into trouble with a Bloodwitch (one scary-ass dude), they go on the run to avoid his blood magic tracking. Their flight leads them into all kinds of trouble as the Truce Summit between all nations begins and every foreign envoy has a agenda of their own.
Recently I’ve had to make a difficult choice between projects. As I’m not used to this, it took me more than a couple of months to finally decide on which book I want to right next. Seriously, I wasted that much time just pondering over which would be better for me at this time. Honestly, I wasted a lot of time when all along it really was an easy choice. Since I know a lot of fellow writers experience this and have similar problems, I wanted to share some of what helped me make the choice so no one else wastes their time like I did!
Check out the video below:
So there you have it! That’s mostly how I chose between Savages and The Queen of Thieves. It was a tough choice, but I’m glad I made it. Now I’m almost done chapter one of QoT and I’m VERY excited to keep working on it!
Choose what inspires you most and the rest will follow!

For a while now I’ve been thinking about whether I should separate my writing material from my mostly gaming/review channel, and create something new JUST for writers and readers. Last week I finally decided that THIS IS THE WAY TO GO, so low and behold, I have a new SOLELY WRITING channel!
The announcement went up yesterday on my usual channel, so if you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check it out and leave me suggestions for what you’d like to see on the new channel!
You can find my new Youtube Channel HERE.
